this has no doubt made national news...
since it apparently was broadcasted on good
morning america or some shit....

ok.... earlier today i read this and the
guy had yet to respond saying he'd give the
ball back... so this was an update for me.

first of all, yeah... its awful that this
28 year old smashed into a 4 year old in
order to catch a ball that doesn't have
any sort of worth (at least in as far as
killing yourself for it).

ok... thats bad... but....

i think its a bit ridiculous that this
dude's privacy was compromised because
people wanna be dickheads about the incident.

thanks to stadium cameras and nosy people
this guy (though horrid in his behavior...
but only for about 4 seconds) will be getting
hate mail, rolled/egged house, and god
knows what else because these people find
it their fucking duty to report to the
press what his name is.

if i were that dude, i'd most definitely
be filing suit against the papers, the
stadium and everyone else for revealing
my name to the public... causing undue
distress and all sorts of bad shit because
of the fact that this kid got smushed.


too bad, so sad....

had the kid been 12, do you think anyone
would care?? meh... maybe. while i understand
that the child was 4... its a ball game...
and people go ape-shit over foul balls that
suddenly become public property.

this story is a shambles of just how pathetic
our system is.... i'm embarrassed.

yeah... i agree totally... he did say something
like 'oh well' to the mom after she confronted
him at the ballpark... he was a dick....
